HAPPY ENDINGS ~~
~ The first was Shadow. Captured when she was about six months old. I believe she was abandoned with her mother and two siblings in the feral cat area. It was obvious that her mother wanted to come close, but was afraid of me and she disappeared soon after I first noticed the four of them. There are plenty of garbage dumpsters in the area and the owners probably assumed they would be able to survive eating out of these. They were terribly wrong as once the mother left them, they were unable to find food as the dumpsters were too high for the kittens to get food from them. One of the three kittens disappeared after being fed by me at a distance for several weeks. I am not exactly sure what happened to him. Another, a lovely little black and white, long-haired cat was hit by a car. The loss of both of these so quickly after they were left in the area angered me so much that I made the decision to begin capturing and placing as many as possible. Shadow is a member of my family now. She is very shy when strangers come into the house, but loves my family and other household cats very much.
